The Paganini Vintage Series violin is a high-quality violin for intermediate to advanced players. We customise these violins to sound the best that they can, by trying different strings, bridges, and soundpost adjustments. We typically set up the 4/4 size violins with Opal strings and Pirastro Obligato strings for the smaller sizes. If we feel that a different brand of strings will work better, then we use those. We like to be flexible with our instrument setups so that the instruments sound the best that they can, rather than a rigid, standard setup. We can, of course, customise instruments to suit the preferences of our customers as well, including different choices of case, bow, and rosin. These violins have a strong, clear, focused sound. They are very responsive and therefore it is easy for players to change dynamics when phrasing their music. The clarity allows players to play fast music without fuzziness or muddiness.
